I had some ppg raven black paint with clear coat mixed up in aeresol cans I painted fender on truck got jus a little orange peel was wondering if I can cut an buff this is so what grit paper do I need to start with an also how long does paint need to cure before I start this

My guess is the reason you have no responses is because of the materials you used.
Any but the most delicate approach would lead to a burn through. 1968 Coronet R/T

Yea its ok I done the work already an satisfied with the results..

It's hard to get enough thickness with a spray can to be able to cut and buff.
The paint is really thin. If you put enough coats on you could do it but it would take a lot of coats. Once dry I would probably start with no coarser grit than 2000 JC.

Yea I put 5 coats on let it cure for a week then I lightly went over it wit 2500 then 3000 it turned out ok good enough for me anyway lol
