Helli everyone! First time spraying acrylic urethane and I have some orange peel and dirt in paint. Just wondered what grit sandpaper I should use to cut this down. I still need one more coat to get full coverage.

If you're going to shoot another coat over it, and it's a solid
color like it looks to me, I'd sand it with 400 to flatten it real good.
Solid color urethane will have no problems filling 400.

(It's not custom painting-it's custom sanding)

I've said it before and will say again that P400 by hand is generally not recommended by the paint manufacturers who generally say P600 or finer for 2K Direct Gloss. They also generally recommend a paint thickness which usually equates to two medium wet coats. Especially so for the economy products where tint quantity and solids content is much lower. If you're careful and don't get pigtails then you may get away with P400 on a DA.

Of course, if you're putting on 27 coats then you can sand with P80, but then have a raft of other problems.

Read the TDS for the product you're using.

Thanks for the replies! I started this project spraying lacquer paint do to friend not wanting to spend lot of money, luckily the hugger orange was on long back order. So I convinced him to switch to Acrylic Urethane do to the fact I've heard so many good things about it. So using for first time I should have sprayed a test piece first. I had my pattern set incorrectly. This paint is amazing though!
