wetsanding f*#^ed up

I was wetsanding with 1500 and scrached my tailgate what can I do to fix it.

Did you scratch thru the clear into the paint?

I don't think so I din't do it that hard it dosen't look scrached until you really see it then you can really notice it. well if I would of went though the clear I would have to re paint it.:)

sam: if you didnt cut thru the clear all you have to do is buff it back to a shine. If you have 2000G hit the repair with it until u get rid of the 1500G scratches, then use a mild compound (3M Perfect II or equilevant) if u want more shine you can move onto a 3M machine glaze then 3M finishing glaze.
