...is this something in the settings of my computer? this is the only site that does this. I have this site bookmarked and when I click it the first page is fine, but when I click "forums" from then on everything is shifted to the right by half a screen.

Thanks Carlos! The board should be centered on your screen. Simplest thing to try first is going into your browser and clearing your cache and any temporary internet files. If that doesn't do it then could you post the following:

operating system (and version)
browser (and version)
your screen resolution setting (in Windows, right click on empty part of your desktop and properties->settings) I need to know if it is 1024x768, 800x600, that part of the settings info.

clearing temporary internet files did NO good. I even re-booted the system.

this is what I'm running.

Windows XP
Mozilla FireFox, the latest version. 4.1, I think
my resolution is currently set at 1024x768

...let me add that the screen size is fine IMO, it's just the location on the screen. I'm just having to slide it over about half a screen to get it centered.

ah. Now I understand. Take a look at this post and the followup to see if it helps you at all. If this remains a problem I'm going to have to experiment with a dynamic (fluid) screen...but would rather not go down that path.

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=14475&start=17

Try the Ctrl-minus (Ctrl and the 'minus sign' key at the same time) trick to see if it helps.

If not, any chance I can convince you to get to at least 1280 wide

sorry chris, I can't do the 1280 wide. everything is way too small. if I hit ctr/- it does make it a bit more tolerable.

OK, I understand. I'm working on another potential fix which (if it works) would allow each member here to choose the screen format they'd like to have (fixed, or dynamic). I have to test this out in my development environment first...should take a few days to see if it will be viable. In the meantime if you can use "ctrl -" thanks...
