What does Red Star @ "New Post/Nor New Post" Icon mean?

I've searched this site...but can't fine what the little Red Star located in the "No New Post/New Post" Icon located to the left of Posts mean? Most Post do not have this little Red Star.

Anytime there is a little star or asterisk within the topic icon (to the left of the topic title), it means that you have contributed a post somewhere in that topic. It's meant to be an eye-catcher so you can quickly scan the list of topics and see those in which you have participated.
