Q. How many internet forum members does it take to change a lightbulb?

A. 422.

1 to change the lightbulb and post it to the forum that the bulb has been changed.

14 to respond and share similar experiences.

7 to caution about the dangers of changing lightbulbs.

27 to point out spelling errors and grammatical errors in postings about changing lightbulbs.

53 to flame the spell checkers.

156 to write to the administrator to complain about the lightbulb discussion and its inappropriateness to the forum.

111 to defend the relevance of the lightbulb discussion.

27 to post website addresses where one can see different examples of lightbulbs.

14 to complain that the website addresses are incorrect and post correct ones.

12 to "leave the forum forever" because they can't handle the lightbulb controversy.

1 to claim that there are no lightbulbs, but that the device in question works by sucking all the dark out of the room, while furnishing no relevant evidence for the assertion, other than the fact that "the Ivory Tower Elitist Sophist Scientist Hegemony wants you to believe that they glow because it serves their undisclosed diabolical ends".

20 to prove that person wrong or ask for evidence.

20 more to vehemently defend the person's right to post their theories.

I'm not smart! I stole this post from another site. Enjoy.

Best regards
Stacey :)

Thanks for the laugh. Maybe the forum is still new, but I haven't seen these problems yet. Everyone has been very helpful, and there seems to be a lot of knowledge here.
