Did a search couldn't find an answer. My question is I have some PPG DX-92 pearl left over from the 80's. I opened it, & after mixing it back up, it appears usable.
Can it be used in the newer urethane clears?
Thanks,
Ray

That pearl was meant for urethane systems back then so it should be fine.

Sometimes those older pearls are made from materials they don't use anymore. And they have an amazing icy pearl effect that is hard to get with modern pearls. Have fun with it. Any powdered pearl can be used with newer products.

Its kinda funny we lost the primary use of our powder pearls for a couple years when our VOC regulations came into effect and we lost our chroma base & chroma premier lines up here in Canada, but about a little over a year ago they started adding them into some of the nason color formulas, and now they are also used in new mosaic system as well.
