Buff/Polish without cutting

If your clear lays out nicely (no orange peel) then can you skip the wet sanding and jump right into the buff/polishing? Or would this make for a lot of extra time on the buffer?

Probably won't see much of a difference.

If its flat, I would cut it with some fine paper then buff it.
Fly like a butterfly, sting like a bee.

Depends on what you are going for. Show work would require cut and buff no matter what.

But if 100% perfection is not the goal then you might skip cut-n-buff all together.

If your final session of clear looks like wet glass, it's flat, no runs, and minimal dirt why fool with it? If there are minor imperfections couple of dirt nibs, maybe a run... just cut and buff areas as needed.
