Used my Fuji Mini Mite 4 shooting basecoat for the first time today....Holy crap it lays down paint and clear nicely with very little airflow. Was shooting Valspar basecoat in Classic Red Metallic and DI-40 European Clear. Shot 4 coats of basecoat with very little paint and awesome coverage. So far Im loving the turbine.

As stages have increased and heat management is better, turbine tech. is finally starting to catch up with compressed air guns. If you like the way that Mini is shooting wait till you sit down and do the math on the material savings... it's pretty shocking......

Im merely an amatuer at painting right now as I only do it as a hobby. I dont have all the necessary tools and equipment right now so.....I opened a brand new gallon of paint today and filled up a spray can lid full of paint twice and poured into my mixing cup then reduced accordingly, 1:1. I sprayed the rear door panel parts (as shown in the pic), the A post covers, the front dash pad covers at the base of the windshield, the front door panel rail brackets with 4 coats of color with that little bit of paint. I already see how much paint I will be saving.

Ha, ha, nope but it's got a lot of past car designs poking through from it. It's a 1983 Bremen Sebring. It was a kit/component/turn-key car made up in northern Indiana from the early 1970s through 1984. Mine is a Sebring II model which was a clean sheet of paper re-design incorporating many styling elements from Corvette, Pantera, Lotus, Porsche, and other exotics of the times......

Those parts look real good.
I too have a Fuji 4-stage and like you, was very surprised
at how well it sprayed. It will turn a so-so painter into an
expert very fast and that's no lie. Very easy to use and has
virtually no blowback or overspray.

I bought mine on Darrel's recommendation a while back
and am glad I did. The Fuji is all I use anymore.

I got the Pantera look from the B post back but I could tell it wasnt by the length and shape of the nose....plus the pic is tiny.

The Factory Five Daytona Coupe in this picture was my first car I did all the bodywork and paint on.

Both of you guys are making me jealous!

Ha, ha....don't be too jealous, unfortunately, I now have to sell my buddy Issues with my old, beat to death clutch foot. Really don't want to put some power sucking auto in it and electric drivetrain is just too much bucks for the performance level that I would want.
TN, nice job on the Daytona.... My next build is going to be a Smyth Hemi Charger truck conversion.
