But I didn't get any wrinkles this time. I kinda ran outta time on the graphics and will add more next weekend over the dried clear.
Thanks for all the help guys!

I have been! Thanks to your guys' help! Below is an AC Box that I did over the last couple of weekends. The HOK Rokket Clear helped a bunch. Sent by the random thoughts from the voices in my head...

I'm impressed. Admittedly my taste is in my mouth, but I appreciate effort to do, and you have done well. My complements come from being able to see the steps it took to get there.
Also shown was technique in varied custom paint applications, striping, fades, cross over and stencil. I'd say you have a pretty good a handle on things. This while from a layman's eye, is quite impressive. I'd like to see you do some free hand stuff? I would offer up my GMC Vandura as canvas if that's what required to release the inner artist. However my highest complement is for the yellow/gold flying "V". That to me stands out and apart. It POP's because you created with your use of color, depth, height and the visual of length with vanishing points. That is graphic art. That's also quite visually impressive and I thought worthy of mention. |

Thanks, I appreciate the compliment. I know that it isn't everyone's taste, but is my car and I wanted to do it! [quote}...I'd like to see you do some free hand stuff? When I was a kid back with the dinosaurs, I wanted to be an artist but had no talent, started using stencils and templates. I think that along with my math is what led me to be a design engineer.
Thanks again, I ended up painting the trunk twice due to a couple of reasons, one was that I didn't like the way the V came out and my first go around the bottom looked too busy for me. Sent by the random thoughts from the voices in my head...

Design Engineer...If I was neighbors with a genius like you no telling the trouble we'd create? Really... I have a copy of Engineering Design Graphics (James H. Early, 4th edition). Can't believe the stuff they teach you guys! Smart guy like you I could bother for hours.
Small world large interests? Lol. Most think I like cars? I like how they work, come apart, go together and what you can do with them. Form and function mostly. You did something there, and twice! That's impressive. I noticed it right away, there is an artist...and so our vans waits, as we build the courage to find the inner artist? I actually liked the first design, but the "V" was the gold for me. It's inspiring to see. Inspires us to try doing. Thanks again. Don't stop believing. I think you got it down to a science.

So I'm building an 18" sub woofer for my Buddy's house.
He's a SF Giants (and 49er) fan. But we live East of the Bay, so this is what he gets!!!! (It has gotten wet sanded and recleared since this photo) Sent by the random thoughts from the voices in my head...
