Hello,
Here's a video of me making an inner skin for a Porsche 911 hood conversion.

The outer skin was made in this video.

Enjoy and let me know what you think. I'm new to this.

Hey Tom
How did you machine out your Hammer form ?
I want to make some of my own.
I have always had a problem working with wood for some reason? I can do anything with Metal but put a Piece of Wood in my Hands and I will mess it up two or three times trying to make one, very frustrating.

I really really respect your making your videos to show others how you did the work on your car, I have wanted to share like that for a while but fear the criticism of my Pears.

Hi,
The wood is CNC machined with a router. The actual machine is in this video:
https://youtu.be/YAhsOyKi-qg

Skip to the 15 minute mark if you want.

To be honest there is a bit of a learning curve to use this CNC machine. Anything is doable, but there's CAD software and then CAM software to learn. I happen to be an engineer and use these tools for other things so luckily it was easy for me. If you want more details about the software and methods, just let me know. (Solidworks/HSM). I'd be happy to help point you in the right direction.

Don't worry about peers and if you do get criticism like I do, then it only makes you better. I don't get upset about anymore...I just keep trying and sharing.

Ya I dont worry to much about my Pears too much anymore any ways but still gotta love the Haters lol

But moving on

OK Wow! so you got me sold on that CNC Machine thats a Gotta have tool right there! lol Im sure its not cheap and I am sure the Learning curve on the Computer program is steep for a guy like me but still I sure wouldn't mind learning that stuff at all.

I just stopped and was looking at some CNC Routers eh looks like a Small "Laguna IQ" wouldn't be a Bad starter machine for a small shop like mine.
Personally I know I could make all kinds of stuff with a Machine like that.
BUT I think I would be better off finding some one local who could just make a few forms for me instead.

My Problem is I would get into a wood Router system and quickly want one to do metal parts instead I am at a loss at what to look at for that.

Might have to take you up on that offer as I need to stay focused on current projects till all are completed, Then maybe break off into some new things like this.
I am easily distracted by new toys.

I am still saving for this

Dam price for it has gone up 4 grand since I started saving.
