Hi I have been working on my 1965 studebaker for 5 years ( on and off , life gets in the way) I planned to finish the bodywork last summer ( its not). I have decided to get car ready to drive this summer and enjoy it. I have it primed in Tamco 2k. My understanding is that I really shouldn't drive it like this too much. What primer or sealer should I use to protect the car until I get it painted ( which hopefully would be next year). Thanks

Epoxy would be the best but any primer, even epoxy, doesn't
have UV protection so it's going to degrade.
If you have to do it, cover it in epoxy primer and when it's time to paint it,
sand the epoxy with a coarse grit like 220 and re-epoxy it. then paint.

(It's not custom painting-it's custom sanding)

Thanks I will just finish the body work and have my friend paint it. Sounds like the smart thing to do. Thanks again
