Ya Most of those Hulls were V drives You are correct a few were set up for Jets very many!
No one ever got one to go real fast to my knowledge, I always wanted to try, when I was still playing with Boats.
When I say real fast I mean in excess of 100mph more like the 8 sec class.
I knew a guy who had put one together with a 500+ cube BB chevy with good heads 14:71 Blower injected whole 9 yards but still never got it much over 80 mph.

Going Fast in the water isn't easy theirs a whole lot more to it than just making big power.

couple 8 sec V drives stealing the show

Its cool when things go right gets UGLY QUICK when things go wrong

I hope you get your steering issues sorted out soon Doug, it's time to be enjoying the ride :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob:

The shop is slowly coming along, still waiting for my paint booth equipment, not sure what the holdup is, most of it is there but they're still waiting for the dampers. It's been over 2 months since I ordered it all

Well Dennis, let me get you caught up. My shop is a 3 bay building + break room. One of the bays is completely separate so I'm building a home made type paint booth in there. I ordered a large fan, a VFD to reduce it to single phase, a pile of backdraft dampers for the intake side and all the sheet metal required for the plenum, exhaust and a water tub for the vapours to neutralize on exit. It's all in except the dampers so once they finally show up they will bring it up to me. The sheet metal bits are too bug for my truck.

I didn't get much done over the winter, weather was ugly from Oct to end of March. Mostly been doing cedar siding and shingles. The shop is full of cedar so can't really work much on cars. Takes forever to do, having to pre-stain it and put it all up by myself. I'll have some pics eventually.

Too bad about the Jetta, didn't know you still had it, doesn't it have around 300,000 miles on it?

Getting close 279k-280k on it now, Its just getting broke in lol
I wanna start driving it again cut down on the miles I'm putting on my GTO

I finally ordered a Rotisserie for the shop should be delivered the end of this week.
I am excited about this I really am cant wait to get the fire bird on it.
https://titanlifts.com/rotisserie/titan ... e-rot-4500

Then I have the Vett on my new lift but haven't pulled the engine yet I been sicker than a dog this past week.
I'm still very sick, but I have to go back to work. I should call in sick but I can't.
I have to turn in my resignation with current employer ASAP to give them 2 weeks notice.
I don't wanna burn any Bridges, but I got a Job offer that I cant turn down and will be starting the new job very soon. Super excited about it!
Its gonna be very technical and tedious work but I think I am up to the challenge.
It will be a very big change for me.

That's quite the rotisserie Dennis! Looks way more solid than the ones I've seen.

The new job sounds interesting, hope it's a little closer to home for ya.

I finally got my paint booth stuff but it'll take a while to get it all done, still have to figure out lighting, insulate and sheet it.

Well I got over being sick last week thank God!
Oh and the Rotisserie I got it at the shop and put it together it does seam solid. I don't care for the main Head unit its a Two piece unit and its sloppy gonna cause some slop in its function. I will be modifying that as soon as I can.

Your Fan VFD that you ordered for your paint booth fan is it a Solid state type or a Rotary type? I am using a Solid State type for my Paint booth fan works great haven't had any problems with it, I Just installed it and Forgot about it.

Love the idea of a water filter style filter system love to see pics of it once you get it all installed.

Rode out my last night at United Im off now till the 9th I start the new job on the 9th looking forward to getting some stuff done around here this week on the projects.
