a lot more info needed here. as for British racing green it can be had any way you want it flat, semi gloss or gloss as orginaly applied to a TR-6 it was glossy.

Sure, I wasn’t alive in the 50’s - 60’s to know.
My guess is British Leyland and Ford etc used non flashy paint as to keep glare to a minimum
The new mustang is very sparklie, i bet the 60’s was less or none

I really don't understand what your asking for. if your trying to compare colors you need color codes. British racing green BRG is no mater when you bought it now or in 1960 is glossy. you can make it any amount of gloss you want with a flattener. for instance you can paint the outside gloss green then ad some flattener to the same paint to make it semi gloss and spray the dash to cut down the glare. if you go and buy BRG in current B/C its going to be just like the gloss BRG of the 60s, depending on application.

Ive seen BRG run the gamut of different sheens. Just google it and look at a 50 year old Mini or Jag vs a new Jag or Aston. I will agree it shouldn't have any metallic but that doesn't stop some people or car companies.
Highland green was a poly paint originally, light and small metallic. You can't judge it by the Bullit car because as I remember it was scuffed dull to look better on film and it was a "tough guy cop" car. That original and then '05+ and the latest Ford Bullit Green look like 3 different colors to me. The new ones don't have the brown hue i think it should.

Use '64 Ford Cascade Green

you can't compare colors by their name BRG from one auto maker is going to be different than BRG from another auto maker and so on you could even see BRG maybe change in the same auto maker.

I think 20ham was trying to say that brg is a solid color not a metallic, which is correct. Many different hues of brg in brit cars even in the same make from different years. One has a def blue hue, others have a very dark black hue. My Tr6 is brg but even with a paint code and a panel three different brands couldnt match it. Poor Akzo Nobel guy spent 3 weeks with a my deck lid only to give up.

I would suppose it changes color as it ages.
