hey gang i was wondering what your options are when after spraying basecoat, you see imperfections such as lines, not feathered enough, or bad texture? start over and respray base? mahalos!

I presume you mean imperfections in the substrate, under the base. If so, yes, sand back, fix the imperfections and respray basecoat.
If the imperfections are in the application of your base, then usually a full wet coat will do the trick, extending your blends a bit further out. Chris

Thanks for your reply! I figured need to send more. Even though I feather out, I still struggle to get the imperfections to look nice and flat. Any tricks to knowing when enough sanding?

lines from not feathering enough ? im going to take a guess on your problem.
you are seeing edge mapping because you're spraying straight base-coat over your feather edges. to fix this you should be priming all feather edges. or... you are seeing edges around your sanded primer. to fix this you should be using sealer. Experienced Trained Certified
