For some reason I cannot find my original post (Mod's??) regarding spraying SEM self etching primer.
With a time constraint and no responses to my post, I went ahead and shot the SEM self etching primer yesterday. Good thing I did as it rained today.
Now I have another question: The SEM primer says not to apply color directly on top of the primer.
After an evening of research I have gotten the idea that I need some sort of "high build primer". I am completely lost as to product selection. My finish coat will be Rustolium Implement paint ( https://www.rustoleum.com/product-catal ... implement/ ).
I need a durable and easy to apply finish. What can you all recommend for a next step primer product?
Thank you.
S.

I would just go to your paint store and buy any s/s primer sealer or just s/s primer and shoot it on. your probably going to have to scuff the etch prime. you can usually go right over it with in a couple days called recoat time, but I think your out of it. check you tech sheet! your going to have to sand it at a later date before you shoot the s/s implement paint. the s/s implement should go over almost anything with no problems. if you were using b/c and or going for a glass smooth finish then we would do something different.

S/S = Single stage (a color coat with clear already in the mix requires a hardener)
B/C= Base coat (just Color must be cleared) C/C= Clear coat (Clear goes on after base coat) Dennis B.
