I'm looking to get the devilbiss FLG5 spraygun shipped to Canada from sprayguns direct UK but I am worried about unknown import and custom charges.

Does anyone have any recent real experience buying a spraygun and having it shipped to Canada?

It seems I remember NFT5 mentioning something about sprayguns direct.
Might try a PM to him.

Sorry, I am in California, not Canada. But I have purchased a couple of guns from them and their service is excellent. They respond to emails (given the time change) and you don't pay their VAT.

Delivery to Northern California from England has been at the most four days after ordering.

Again, I do not know about Canada's import laws.

Yeah, it was me who recommended them in the first place.

Tracs is after Canada specific so can't really help on that, only having experience with Australia.

I really want to order but they ship DHL, UPS. I've have horrible experiences with stuff just coming into Canada from the USA.

They ship express saver and I looked it up and it seems to cover the brokerage charges, but it is still unknown how much the shipping will be once it reaches north America.

I'd hate to get a bill for another $100 on delivery.

I went ahead and ordered the Devilbiss FLG5 with 1.4 tip and a extra 1.8 needle and tip.

I can't wait for it to get here, hopefully no surprise charges..

I never had any extra charges - though again I am in Northern California.

I have always had great service from them.

Well ****. Already got a email from DHL wanting another $45 for customs clearance fees. What a joke. I'm sure when it shows up at my house they will want even more $$$.

I got the spray gun today. Wow that was fast shipping.

Total for the 1.4mm gun and extra 1.8mm needle and tip was $267 CAD + $44 CAD customs and duty for a total of $311 CAD.
