I don't envy your 100+ weather Dennis, that's brutal. We've barely had any summer. May and June were cold and either wet or cloudy, same for the 1st half of July. Finally got nice about a week ago, mid 70's.
Haven't made much progress lately. Back is terrible, frozen shoulder and had a heart attack to boot, why not Had a stent put in and getting another one in a week.

Dennis, glad you are still plugging along even in that temperature. I always enjoyed getting to the high build stage on parts it almost seems you can see the end.

Rob, sorry to here about your stent operation, are they going through the groin or wrist? My 3rd one they tried the wrist but they ended up going through the groin . I still have not had my back operation and wont until this China virus is over. Are you going to need another operation? As you and I know well a hurting back REALLY limits progress on everything.

We have been using the 38 (still no interior other than seats) to cruse to the beach and to dinner where we can find a restaurant open. It runs around 187 F with AC on in 97 F outside. It sounds like a prop plane trying to take off on the outside but fairly quiet on the inside. Just so glad it is not even close to overheating

We should finally get the pool plastered starting tomorrow, finally, Saturday acid washed and start filling with water after that, boy hardly wait to see the water bill They will do the first start up Monday.

Through the wrist, can't even imagine how they could apply enough pressure on the groin to stop the bleeding. I definitely feel a lot better, looking forward to getting the next one over with. Not planning on getting another back operation at this time. I went in to get a shot in the back yesterday but they couldn't do it because of the blood thinners I'm on for another year.

I Have the Bird basic body work completed and working last coat of primer now on quarters roof and rockers while body is still on the Spit will be ready for paint probably tomorrow still have to do the doors, fenders, trunk lid, hood, Nose and spoilers.
Those may take me another year at the rate I am going.

It's scary stuff so you can't ignore any warning signs. Chest pains (angina) and or running out of energy fast for instance. Doing bodywork is something that you would notice getting tired faster than normal. If anything is off get a stress test. Getting a stent is nothing compared to bipass surgery so if you have cause for concern act on it sooner than later.

You made fast progress on the body, hopefully the other parts go quickly as well.

I've been busy doing outside work while the weather is nice. I need to start picking away at the wiring again. It's a pain for sure and I need to restore/paint bits and pieces that go under the dash. Makes progress really slow

Thanks for the advise, I need to go see the Doc more often like you said a Stent is a whole lot easier to deal with.
And Ya I am wishing I did more Prep work with Sub assembly's myself, wasted so much time that could have been rebuilding and prepping other stuff like the doors hood and trunk and about a million other things lol.

I had to do a skim coat of filler here and there today, messed up and went too deep in one spot on right quarter had to do a touch up on the epoxy in one spot will spot fill Feather fill after a quick sand and will do one more coat of Primer or two should be good to go after that and then I can move on too the roof, Cowl and scuff the fire wall then it will be ready for paint.
Then I get to start on the fenders hood trunk and front end and spoiler's.

i still need to get that front Bumper straitened out the lower side is bent I don't know where I can send that? I don't know if I can straiten it or not? be a lot easier to send it out.
The extra front bumper I have the Endura is in really bad shape. I don't know about fixing that one, That Endura is not an easy thing to deal with Need an Epoxy type filler material that aint gonna be cheap or easy.
I found some stuff I wanna try on it but its $700 for a two part kit, 2 gallons usable when mixed should be enough to do it but dam thats a lot of money for a try and see deal.

Another idea I have is Chopped Kevlar and Clear Resin, Thinking about doing all the Spoilers and the Nose in it. It would be different that's for sure.

As far as I know most of the chrome plating places are good at straightening bumpers, or at least they used to be.

That carbon fiber is interesting, would probably look good on the spoiler, not sure about the nose. Probably a lot cheaper to use regular fiberglass

I assume the endura front is the same as the 1980 Camaro I did way back. I don't know what you can do to fix it, it's like plastic and rubber combined. Really hard to get it to hold it's shape while you try to repair it. I was lucky and found a parts car that had a good one.

The Endura is a very special one off only type stuff used on the Pontiacs only.
it was created for by Pontiac it would survive a 5 mph impact with an object without damage.

It Cracks with age and Sun damage eats it once the paint gets degraded.
Its a special open foam type rubber material very stuff stuff they dont make it any more and they never offered a repair material for it most people just use Epoxy filler to fill cracks in it.

Now that I see it I remember the commercial. That's totally different than the 2nd gen Camaro front end which isn't stiff at all. It doesn't dent it tears. Does the endura crack like fiberglass?

It cracks from Age and Sun stress.

I got the Epoxy sanded out in my woops finished up guide coat and put a couple of coats of 2K Hi Build on it.
Will sand it out with 400 tomorrow then another coat of Hi build sand it with 600 call it good.
I am really trying to limit my stacking of materials.

Also dug out my cheap Fender stands planning on starting those tomorrow as well, still need to blast Sub frame, Radiator core support and rear end and it looks like one of the fenders needs some light blasting but over all they are in really good shape.
