Sorry to hear of the loss of your friend.
I’m sure your presence meant the world to him in his final days.

Thanks JT

Rob
No it wasn't Skip, it was my Friend Jerry, he was a silent partner in the car he had a stake in the Bird project as a sponsor wished he could have seen it completed.
I feel bad that its taken me so long just to get the project where its at today. Car will be finished in his memory.
I will be helping his son again today.

I'm sure his son really appreciates your help and knowing he had such a good friend. Too bad he didn't get to see the bird done but there's only so much you can get done, especially with working, out of town at that. Hope all goes well helping his son get everything sorted out and you can get back to the project.

128 degrees, that is beyond ridiculous. I would have died, literally :knockout: :knockout: It's been around 90 here the last few days and that is more than enough for me.

I like the look of that modified Chrysler, very cool. I forgot you had that waiting for it's turn to come to the shop for a rebuild.

I'm still staining cedar

I hope rechroming is cheaper in your area than mine. I had the Riv rear bumper done a couple years ago, cost a fortune.
I guess it would be quite the score finding one of those. I've never seen one at any swap meets or anywhere else

I am not looking forward to Re-chrome Bill for the Chrysler
Thinking about sending them to Painterdave have him spray them with His Chrome paint?
I have to call him about it.

Picked up a New Fiberglass Shaker hood and a new fiberglass Nose with new Hood hinges with the light weight springs and another set of Grills for the Bird Yesterday.
I should have passed on the Hood but I think I can make it work?
Its a very Light lay up, Its gonna need some extra reinforcement added to it but again I think I can make it work. I was gonna use the Dual scoop Hood but the car just looks better with the Shaker scoop and the single Stripe.

I just cant find any decent Graphics Ideas I like with the Dual scoop hood. just doesn't work with Graphics. looks great in a single color, I keep going back and forth.
I still like the idea of the Layer of chopped Carbon fiber on Hood and all spoilers on Black though.

I've seen pics here of Dave's work, looks impressive. Might be a good option. That's a massive bumper to breplate, up here it would be pushing 3 grand I would think.
I hope you have better luck with the hood than I did. I spent a lot of time on it before I gave up. I'm really picky about my gaps and the only way to make it work would have been to separate it from the metal frame and reshape the frame, then mate them again. I might do that sometime down the road if I don't have anything better to do with my time.

I am not to excited about that hood too much but we will see, But ya It needs a lot of work
