I never talked with you Dave. I never got a phone call from you. I do not participate on screen much anymore. I have to deal with my walk in customers or speak with people on the phone. The qualified techs I deal with who once posted here gave up.

Scott, some of us are wondering why you are even here? You provide no value to this site, and you seem to enjoy disparaging others for what seems like no other reason than to try to make yourself look better.

Or, if you really want to help DIYers here, maybe provide some of that deep knowledge you have from running that custom shop for the last 40 years with all of those happy customers, and the admiration of all those qualified techs you 'deal with' ?

I won't hold my breath ; )

ScottB is a Hit and Run type of "Troll" nothing more nothing less hes a Troll Looking for the FLAME WAR Trying to start a Flame war a sick individual trying to start **** with others.

Pick up the phone. I'm easily reached. Can't call someone a troll if they are willing to discuss business with customers on the phone or in person at their shop. Three other pros and shop owners on this site stopped posting because their quality information was doubted.

Well, here's a couple of photos of my old white hood that I used clear over SS solid black.

BTW, ScottB told me to throw out because my media blaster screwed me.

I think that it was more of my lack of knowledge that it took me so long to get it to this point.

But with the (much appreciated) help of you guys on the forum (again ....101) I was able to get it to this point. Next one will be faster and better I hope.

Will I ever be a pro like ScottB? I can honestly say "No"

But let's not let this site become one of the crummy FB groups. And to all those that have helped me from this site, Thank You and Merry Christmas!

I just spent about 30 minutes going through your posts beginning back in 2013. After 14 pages of posts it became very obvious that you are mostly a source of contention.

There were a couple of posts where you added something to the conversation or offered actual advice but for the most part you play the narcissist. Proclaiming your advanced knowledge and talent and putting down others. This seemed to escalate back when ODG, JaysonM and a couple of more people were still on this site.

In the 14 pages of posts I did go through, I failed to find any of your "work" posted. Not saying you never did, just I didn't see any through the two years of posts I looked at. And I have better things to do that read through all that drivel.

Back in 2014 you even accused Chris, the site owner, of misconduct and he had to set you straight.

I thought all of you "professional" critics of AB101 left and started your own website? Did that fail due to the constant clashing of egos? Or was it just too boring congratulating each other on your successes and talent?

I came to this site looking for help, as I admittedly didn't know much about restoring cars and how to properly paint them. This site was exactly what I needed and thankfully there were some folks on here that cared enough to offer helpful advice rather than condescending platitudes.

Over the years, I have restored and painted a number of cars. I deliberately posted pictures of my work so others could see, not only the good things, but also the mistakes that I made so they could learn from them.

AB101 is here to help newbies, inexperienced and struggling painters as well as those attempting to restore a vehicle.

You could play a part in that but you choose not to, as can be attested by your posting history. Now you appear to be trolling rather than contributing once again.

OldFatBald, VERY nice hood!
The clear seems to have given more depth and gloss.

I don't care what they say, you don't look old at all in the pic...
