I'm planning to paint my motorcyle using single stage AE. I want to use black base and add some graphics in a silver (under) a brandywine color. Can I add the graphic over the single stage then clear and cut and buff if needed.

Yes you can, but the acrylic enamel stays soft so you want to use acrylic enamel clear
to cover it. You would be much better off using urethane single stage that gets harder much faster, and then regular urethane clear coat. Much easier to work with and more durable too. For me. I'd use basecoat for all my color and graphics, that's the easiest. JC.

Totally agree. Shoot your black basecoat, then shoot a couple of coats of clear. Wait a day, scuff, wait a week then start taping your graphics. That way if you screw up, you can sand down to the clear (ask me how I know! A: I have screwed up). Clear over your graphics, wait again, scuff again then shoot your candy and more clear. Sent by the random thoughts from the voices in my head...
