Have the exhaust system done, still have to weld up all the joints. Will probably take it to my SIL, he has a dual regulator so the it can be purged while it's tig welded.
Last night put these 4" holes in the valance and am now trying to figure out how far the tips should stick out. Will weld a piece inside the holes to make it looked finished once I get them the right size.

I ended up cutting into the trunk floor to get the tips where I wanted them.
Also welded a piece of 3/16" rod around the inside of the hole in the valance. |
It's always something that makes these projects bigger and more involved than expected.
Better to get it the way you want it than regret not doing so later. 1968 Coronet R/T

Thanks for the replies, got the grille in and installed the cap I made to see how it fits. Also installed the bumper even though I need to get it chromed. Wanted to see how it looked.

Now that I'm done with paint on my project I forgot about this great site. I have my project running and driving it with the suspension upgrades is so much fun.
I still have to get the front seats upholstered, bumpers chromed and the headers ceramic coated. |
Looks great.
Glad you are driving it and enjoying it. 1968 Coronet R/T
