Jim If I am not mistaken those are made from Pot metal correct? The pitting needs to be ground out then filled I have been using Muggy weld "Super Alloy 1" with some success super low melting point bonds really well can be sanded machined and polished and plated over. I do not know How Dave handles the Pitting ? He probably grinds it out and Just uses Filler Much more Stable in my opinion. Just depends On how you want it done. Dennis B.

Yes, they are pot metal.
I have seen the Muggy Weld videos and it looks to be a fairly easy product to apply. I don't know much about Pot Metal, how it expands or contracts with temperature, it's corrosive properties, etc. If the pitting isn't too severe, maybe just fill it with epoxy primer? 1968 Coronet R/T
