Looking in my ABTM catalog I could not find a quart size body filler but saw a quart in O’Reillys by Evercoat and grabbed that, since they make the Rage filler. Now, I read the label and it says For repairing dents in aluminum, galvanized steel, fiberglsss, SMC, concrete, wood & masonry. Nothing on the entire label mentions “ auto”. It’s does say Evercoat Body Shop. Seems like auto filler might be different, since flexibility would be more important for automotive application. I’m thinking if I call Evercoat they might not give me all the facts. Is flexibility even a consideration, has anybody tried this “ Pro Grade premium filler? Thanks

Yeah, I guess they must care about their reputation. They’re closed now

I use the 3M Platinum Select Filler. I found the cure time was much easier to manage in hot weather (this summer in southern California). Before that, I used the Platinum Plus filler, and found it would start curing on my mixing board in 90 degree weather. If I reduced the hardener too much, I noticed it would stay "soft" (the "sticky" stage) much longer than I liked. Must just a be a minor difference in the chemistry.

I use a Lot of Evercoat products and fillers which one exactly did you buy? they have MANY filler products.

I usually use "Lite weight" in the White can NOT the Red can. (never tried the red can)
I use the "Lite weight" in the white can because its cheap, I usually pay about $20-$30 a gallon for it depending were I buy it. It sands out fine, not as easy as Rage but 98% or more is going on the floor any way.
I could care less how easy it is to sands myself as long as its not cement as I have time on my side. all the production shops I visit were I know the owners use the same stuff.

I also use Evercoat "Plastic Honey" and mix that in to it to thin it out when I want to get it on super thin as a skim coat, Instead of buying those other expensive specialty super thin Skim coat products. The stuff is great You can add it to any Evercoat filler product.

I used Rage when it first hit the market years ago and liked it, But I am not a fan of paying $70 a gallon for any filler that's mostly going on the floor, I stopped buying the stuff its just to expensive. If you wanna use it fine its a great product its just too expensive for me.

All the Evercoat products I have used I would consider too hot and they set up way too fast! When its Hot outside its even faster! I have tried reducing Hardener and even started mixing by weight, that helps but work time is always too short! much shorter than advertised.
If I could get another product locally with a longer working time at the same price I would try it.

I use the 3M Marsoon Platinum (not the plus) and like Dennis said the Plastik Honey is great stuff for making it easy to spread thin on skim coats.

You have to shop around to get the best price on this stuff.
Right now, everything is going up in price.

Isn't a "plastic honey" just another name for a blow up doll?
