Found a bunch of screw holes on the passenger door where they added a mirror.

After welding them closed:

Had to do some welding to reshape a damaged area and correct the door to quarter panel gap. Turns out this area was worked on before as I found brazing.

Installed the old tail panel and quarter extensions to check the fit. The newer panel and tail light housings are getting a professional re-chroming.

I didn't bolt the panel in place so the right side is tipping back slightly at the top.

Spent a lot of time today messing with the trunk lid. Turned out the left side edge had a slight bow in it. The right side wouldn't quite seat all the way and when I pushed down on it, the left front corner would raise up slightly. Made a lot of progress but still not quite there yet.

Sprayed the interior metal today.
This is one coat of color and one coat of clear. Most of this will be covered with carpet, headliners and interior panels and equipment.

While waiting for supplies to get here, I started working on my steering wheel.
It is dry and cracked even after I sprayed it with two coats of epoxy and sanded it.

I remembered that I had some E-Z Lam epoxy which is much thicker when mixed.

Here it is after one coat:

It takes at least 24 hours to cure.

This is one round of buffing with Meguiars M-100 and a twisted wool pad.
I plan to do another round with Chemical Guys V36 and then one more with Menzerna 3800 Super Finish.
