Yes, I have noticed the same. Sometimes it takes two or three tries just to get it to open.
I sent an email to Chris. 1968 Coronet R/T

Thanks for letting me know. I am seeing some odd traffic at the server; for now I blocked it and rebooted. I will keep an eye on things over the next 48 hours.

You're welcome. It was TicTok causing the problem. In case you don't know what that is, it's a popular phone app that is owned by China, through a state-controlled entity known as Bytedance.
Anyway, regular Google is banned in China. They run their own Google servers there, which have a layer of censorship code that makes sure the "citizens" in China are only seeing what the Chinese government wants them to see. So they use Bytedance servers to go pull content from every website they can hit, especially in the USA. They copy the data and put it into their own systems, for their censored version of Google. Their 'bots' were hitting autobody101 thousands of times per second, which was causing the performance issue here. I have more work to do, to reduce the attack surface at my own servers, but for now I've blocked them. Oh, by the way - if you or anyone in your family uses TicTok, you might want to rethink that. Every piece of data, along with AI enhanced analysis of that data, is being stored in servers sitting in mainland China. |

Shock! Horror! Even your ads were being affected, Chris.
At first I thought it was just this end but realised what was going on after some config changes here. It's a thankless task and there's always someone trying to take advantage of you. Keep up the good work. Chris
