Hey there...my name is Chris; thank you for clicking on the link to learn more about me. This site is a small, family owned business and I am a nut about keeping things running smoothly and making sure anyone who does business here has a great experience.
I have restored cars either professionally or as a hobbyist for my entire adult life. When I was a teenager having wrecked my car I spent a summer at a former Trans-Am racing team mechanic's home, who showed me how to do metal working, body work and painting. Back then we were shooting DuPont lacquer and breathing in just as much as went onto the car. I studied everything I could about this profession and eventually ran my own business doing restoration work. Lately I consider myself a hobbyist and don't really spend much time working on cars anymore -- I'm too busy working on AutoBody101.com :-)
AutoBody101.com was formed in 2003 as a simple discussion forum where enthusiasts could gather to discuss their hobby. I purchased it from the original owner in 2010, and relaunched it with updated software and additional products for sale. In 2013 the site was updated again with a customized shopping cart using the latest PCI DSS and PA DSS security -- finally a "real" shopping experience. The new software allows me to easily add new products and gives complete control over the entire inventory, ordering and fulfillment process. I take this part of the site extremely seriously and I strive to provide products, pricing and an overall experience on par with other sites that employ hundreds of people.
I am unashamed to tell you that I am a follower of Christ and I live my life for the glory of my savior and my God, Jesus. I do not judge anyone; it's not my job. I try my best to be an example of God's love and grace to others and to lead an honest, uncomplicated life.
Thank you for taking the time to visit the site; if you have any questions feel free to contact me and I will be happy to help you with any product or order questions you have.
P.S. 10% of all profits made here are donated to World Vision - an excellent non-profit organization that has low overhead and puts as much money it receives as possible into programs for the families it supports. They help underprivileged kids in the USA and internationally. They do a great job and I am grateful to be able to be a small part of their efforts.
